Markdown versions of documentation pages are available by appending `.md` to page URLs; this page is available as [Markdown](https://maps4fs.gitbook.io/docs/atlas-fs/atlas_terms.md). # Terms of Use By downloading or using maps from Atlas FS, you agree to the following terms and conditions. *** ## 🎨 Ownership and Rights * **All maps belong exclusively to their authors** * **Atlas FS is a distribution platform only** and claims no ownership or rights to hosted content * **Authors retain full copyright** and control over their creations *** ## ⚠️ Disclaimer **Atlas FS and map authors provide no warranties and accept no responsibility:** * ❌ **No Warranty**: Maps are provided "as-is" without any warranties of any kind * ❌ **No Liability**: Atlas FS and authors are not responsible for any issues, damages, or losses resulting from map usage * ❌ **No Guarantees**: No guarantees regarding map quality, functionality, compatibility, or safety * ❗ **Use at Your Own Risk**: You download and use maps entirely at your own risk * 🛡️ **No Support Obligation**: Neither Atlas FS nor authors are obligated to provide support or updates **You assume all responsibility and risk associated with downloading and using maps from Atlas FS.** *** ## 👥 User Responsibilities ### Personal Use Only * ✅ Maps may be used for **personal gameplay only** * ✅ You may play the maps in Farming Simulator * ❌ You may **NOT** distribute, share, or repost the maps anywhere ### Respect Authorship * ✅ **Respect the author's copyright** and intellectual property * ✅ **Follow all restrictions** specified by the author * ❌ **No sharing allowed** - even with proper attribution, unless you have official written permission from the author ### Prohibited Actions You may **NOT**: * ❌ Redistribute maps through any means (upload to other sites, file-sharing, Discord, etc.) * ❌ Post maps on other platforms, even with attribution * ❌ Sell or monetize maps * ❌ Modify and redistribute maps without explicit permission * ❌ Claim authorship or misrepresent the creator * ❌ Use maps for commercial purposes *** ## ⚖️ Legal Consequences **Violation of these terms will result in serious consequences:** * 🚨 **Legal action by the map author** - Authors have full rights to pursue legal remedies * 🛡️ **Atlas FS will assist authors** - We will provide all necessary information, logs, and evidence to support authors in legal proceedings against violators * 🚫 **Permanent ban from Atlas FS** - Immediate and permanent removal from the platform * 💰 **Liability for damages** - You may be held financially responsible * 📜 **DMCA takedown notices** - Copyright infringement claims will be filed * 🔍 **Evidence collection** - Atlas FS maintains records of downloads and user activity to assist in legal cases **We take copyright violations seriously and will fully cooperate with authors to protect their rights.** *** ## 📝 Obtaining Permission If you wish to: * Share a map with others * Post a map on another platform * Use a map commercially * Create derivative works **You must obtain official written permission from the map author.** Contact information is provided on each author's page. **Do not contact Atlas FS for permissions** - we have no authority to grant them. *** ## 🏢 Platform Responsibilities Atlas FS: * ✅ Provides a platform for authors to share their work with proper attribution * ✅ Displays author information and donation links prominently * ✅ Respects author copyright and intellectual property * ✅ **Assists authors in enforcing their rights** by providing evidence and documentation for legal proceedings * ✅ Takes immediate action against copyright violations * ❌ Does not claim ownership of any maps * ❌ Cannot grant permissions on behalf of authors *** ## ✍️ Author Rights Map authors have the right to: * ✅ Remove their maps from Atlas FS at any time * ✅ Update their maps and submit new versions * ✅ Set additional terms and restrictions for their maps * ✅ **Pursue legal action against users who violate their rights** * ✅ **Receive full support from Atlas FS** in copyright enforcement * ✅ Receive full attribution and credit for their work *** ## ⚠️ Summary **Atlas FS protects creator rights:** * 🎨 **Authors retain full ownership** of their maps * 👥 **Personal use only** - No redistribution, sharing, or commercial use * ⚖️ **Serious consequences** - Legal action will be pursued with Atlas FS assistance * 🛡️ **We support authors** - Evidence and documentation provided for legal cases * 🚫 **Zero tolerance** - Copyright violations result in immediate permanent bans **By using Atlas FS, you agree to respect the hard work and creativity of map authors.
